OPAL: Online Programs for All: Program Coordinator

    OPAL is a collaborative project involving over fifty organizations. Participating OPAL libraries develop and deliver live online programs, events, and meetings using web conferencing software from Talking Communities. We focus both on public programs and on professional development programs for librarians and information professionals.

Trendy Topics, A Series of One-Day Online Conferences: Producer

    Ten times each year (monthly, except August and December), we offer reasonably-priced one-day online conferences about hot topics related to libraries and information technology.


Unabridged: Digital Audio Books for the Blind: Program Coordinator

    Libraries for the blind and physically handicapped in the five states of Colorado, Delaware, Illinois, New Hampshire, and Oregon are collaborating to provide downloadable digital audio books for the blind. The National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped, a Division of the Library of Congress, also is using Unabridged for internal research and testing purposes.

ALA TechSource Blog: Regular Contributor

    ALA TechSource is a unit of the publishing department of the American Library Association. A group of librarians, including Tom Peters from TAP Information Services, collaborate on a blog and related events


ASCLA: Association of Specialized and Cooperative Library Agencies project to review and revise the ASCLA NLS Revised Standards and Guidelines of Service for the Library of Congress Network of Libraries for the Blind and Physically Handicapped (2005).

    Tom Peters of TAP Information Services is coordinating this team effort.
