History

TAP Information Services, founded in June 2003, is headquartered in Oak Grove, Missouri, a suburb of Kansas City. TAP Information provides a wide variety of high quality planning, consulting, research, and assessment services supporting libraries, consortia, government agencies, associations, publishers, and other information organizations.

Tom Peters has worked in and with libraries and library-related organizations for 23 years. He has been involved in many collaborative projects, working with librarians from academic, public, special, and governmental libraries. Tom also consults with publishers, vendors, and technology companies on a variety of development and testing projects. His current areas of interest and specialization include portable eReading, librarianship in virtual environments, downlodable digital audio books, and other digital library services, such as SMS-based text reference.
